Meet Kozen “Koz” Tsukamoto, Financial Advisor
Koz Tsukamoto brings to wealth management a diverse background in technology, business, real estate, and investing, along with a deeply rooted belief that financial independence can provide something even more valuable than wealth—the freedom to choose how we spend our time and live our lives.
A graduate of the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Koz began his career as a software engineer and later as a software project engineer. His analytical background and entrepreneurial interests eventually led him beyond technology into real estate investing and business consulting. Over time, those experiences reinforced his desire to leave the traditional corporate lifestyle and pursue greater freedom of time, choice, and independence.
That journey ultimately shaped his approach to financial planning and wealth management. Koz believes financial planning is not simply about accumulating assets. It is about helping people make thoughtful decisions with their resources so they can pursue the life, opportunities, and independence that matter most to them.
His commitment to service has deep family roots. Koz was raised by humble, hardworking parents whose lives were shaped by the hardships of World War II. After surviving those difficult years, they built a new life in Southern California, working the land and ultimately establishing a successful gardening business in Orange County. Their perseverance, work ethic, self-reliance, and willingness to serve others left a lasting impression on him and continue to influence the way he approaches both life and his relationships with clients.
While much of wealth management traditionally focuses on those who have already accumulated significant assets, Koz believes financial knowledge and thoughtful guidance can benefit people at many stages of life. He is happy helping those who have a genuine desire to improve their financial future, regardless of where they are starting economically.
He also has a personal interest in financial education for younger generations and in helping them understand the value of starting early, while recognizing that thoughtful planning and good financial decisions remain important throughout one’s lifetime.
Away from the office, Koz enjoys the outdoors and remains passionate about surfing, snow skiing, fishing, gardening, and golf. Whether in the mountains, in the yard, on the water, or on the golf course, he values the same freedom and independence that have guided many of the important choices throughout his life.
Koz is licensed with a Series 7, 66 and life insurance.
