Rodolfo Rodriguez has over twenty years of experience as a business and financial services professional. As a Registered Investment Advisor at Balboa Wealth Partners, Mr. Rodriguez specializes in serving the Private Banking and Investment needs of his clients. In partnership with his clients, he serves as a resource to create a highly personalized plan to address both the challenges and opportunities relating to building, preserving, and transferring wealth.
Mr. Rodriguez also serves the Investment Banking needs of private clients who lead middle-market and young-emerging companies in various industries. He performs this work through his association as an Investment Banking Representative at Willow Cove Investment Group.
Mr. Rodriguez’s prior experience includes serving as a Financial Advisor at Chalice Capital Partners and at Cappello Capital, a middle-market Investment Banking boutique specializing in capital raising, M&A, financial restructuring, and valuation services.
Mr. Rodriguez began his career as an International Financial Advisor in the Latin American Division of Merrill Lynch, where he worked closely with the Investment Banking Division introducing the firm’s services to private clients in the U.S. and Latin America.

Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Mr. Rodriguez graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in Business Economics and was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honors Society of Economics. He attended USD on a full tennis scholarship and represented the university as the #1 singles and doubles player in NCAA Division I competition. Mr. Rodriguez was the team’s elected captain, received the team’s Most Valuable Player Award, the Scholar-Athlete Award, and Academic All-American Honors.
Mr. Rodriguez is actively involved in national and international tennis competition in his age division and has won 5 U.S. National Championships in various event categories. He is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association, the Professional Tennis Registry, and the American College of Sports Medicine. Additionally, he serves as an Alliance Ambassador for the PHIT America Foundation, an education and advocacy organization with a mission to create A Movement for a Fit and Healthy America.
